The passage stresses the value of each individual, showing that even small actions have an impact. It challenges the idea of being insignificant, urging readers to reflect on their true selves, beyond societal roles, and appreciate their unique qualities while recognizing the influence they have on the world around them.
Who are you? I suppose you are a living human being since you are reading this. But who are you in this vast multiverse of endless possibilities?
Let’s make something clear first. You are someone. Everyone is someone. The phrase “I’m no one” is completely wrong. Wrong use of words. Now that that’s been clarified, let’s move on to our main topic. Who exactly are you?
Sometimes, you may feel like an ant, a drop in the ocean. But what if I told you that ants are highly important on our planet? You may know this, but without ants, Earth’s ecosystem would be completely different. Ants have extremely useful “jobs”, such as their role in the food chain or the soil’s aeration.
Drops in the ocean, also, play a huge role in this world. All oceans are made of septillions of drops. So, without those drops, we would have no oceans on our planet, and therefore, we wouldn’t have water at all.
Perhaps I still haven’t convinced you that you are important, because what is our planet in this gigantic universe, let alone in this endless multiverse?
You may have heard of theories about the multiverse, such as the one that we exist or have existed in every universe out there. If that theory is true, there are tons of us out there, tons of you. Think how many people love or have loved you all these years, in all these different universes. Think of how many people have relied on you and you were there for them. Think of how many people have trusted you with their lives and you have had an impact on them. I’m sure it is quite a lot of individuals.

You matter. That is what I just told you in the previous paragraph. You are important. Everyone is. You have made an impact, even if you don’t know it.
Let me give you an example. Maybe, someday, you were eating something outside, and a scrap of the food you were eating fell to the ground. There is a high chance, a group of ants came and picked it up for supplies. Then, they fed their families with that food scrap. You changed those ants’ lives. And you also helped other beings, that eat ants, find food easier, by aiding in keeping those ants alive. You helped the whole food pyramid. And you had no idea. Funny, isn’t it?
You are someone, that matters and has made an impact on this world.

Stay there and make your mind process your personality. Not your made-up personality, your real personality. Stop thinking about other people for a second and think about you. Your preferences, your likes and dislikes, your own self.
Don’t let society shape your personality, but let it make you better. Society cannot change who you are or shape your preferences, but it can make you better. And when you go out there, try to be you, with just some modifications. Because no one is 100% themselves these days. I’m sorry to say this, but the truth is, very few people would accept you (but you would still make an impact, don’t forget that).
Let the main part of your personality stay. Do not try to force it away, all you’ll do is try to fight yourself, and try to win against an unbeatable enemy. Figure that part out and, with the proper mindset, the rest will follow.
Derive information, knowledge, and opinions by looking and listening. Use that to become someone better. Spend each day trying to learn something new and useful, and become a better person. That’s what “I’m focusing on myself” means. Focusing on you is spending each minute trying to gain a new and interesting characteristic, without caring about anything else that doesn’t seem important.
I’m sure you know way more than you think you know. Just like those times, when you know something but can’t remember it or when you know something but aren’t sure if you actually know it, and when someone tells you what that was you realize you actually knew it.
So, in conclusion, you are someone, who matters, who has made an impact on the world. You are wise and experienced, with different unique characteristics and preferences. The answer is, once again, to think. You’ll figure it out, I believe in you.
